Autism Awareness
I thought that I would help in raising awareness. April 1st and 2nd all around the world, I hope that you will see a lot of Blue, which is my favorite color, too!
It is amazing how prevalent autism is and no I am not just referring to children. If you have ever had a conversation that just seemed odd, there might be a chance that you were talking to someone on the Autism Spectrum line. There is significant research and data that also points to hereditary links as well.
I am so thankful that I live in a time with the knowledge and resources to help all reach their full potential. No, it is not an easy walk, run, jump, and sometimes trip and fall and let me be honest, wish I could throw myself to the ground and have a tantrum!!! Oh, how funny would that be to see!
Please, please if you have the slightest thought that your child and or loved one might be on the spectrum. Help address it, there are tools that can totally change a child's life. As for adults, with God all things are possible, right, so there are tools for adults, too!!!
Update for Grace Marie
She is so beautiful and so great I could go on and on. I registered her for kindergarten last week. No, I was not upset, sad, or sorry; I am not that kind of Mommy! I had an extra year, remember! Also, who knows how I will react on her first day! She makes it easy though, seeing the love of life is beautiful.
We are on the waiting list at CHOA for OT and PT. Yes, private therapy will just give her that extra jump for her to reach her full potential. The great news is that another CHOA location will be opening up in June or July closer to where we live!
Grace and Gabrielle started a lil'all starts class on Wednesday. Coach Amy is awesome! This class gives the girls an introduction to baseball, basketball, and soccer. Coach Amy uses bubbles to encourage the team to push them down, simulating a dribble for basketball. Yes, she has the gift.
KBW update the review board body, lost or never received the application that I submitted. However, on March 17th, my contact sent the application, again. She also was encouraging, stating that I should hear something very soon, especially in this situation. I just pray that we are not denied because of funds that ran out. yes, I submitted the application on December 3rd. I hope that I do not have to 'fight' for this, it is out of my comfort zone and takes so much more energy!!!
I feel so truly blessed that Grace will be in a 'regular' kindergarten class. We have almost reached our goal and it feels great!!
Thank you, for your kind words, love, support and prayers! Have a great rest of the week.

I am running out of ideas for title(s).....
Feel free to 'comment' any title ideas that I can utilize in the future.
We are doing great. Grace has been making progress in her BLAST, class. A bit of progress in PT but having some challenges with OT, specifically writing.
Last week, she started to tell Chris and I that she sees two Mommy's and sees two Daddy's. So off to the eye doc.
She had her appointment yesterday. What a praise! I was prepared for him to say she needed a prism in her lens due to the double vision. However, after extensive review. He determined that her eye "right eye vision is doing great". She is doing very nicely and the front and back of her eye is healthy. Her vision is equal between both eyes.
So she does not have a surpressed right eye muscle. Her prescription has changed for the better, she has more power with her lens than she needs.
I asked him about vision therapy and he stated that their was absolutely no case for it. Basically, she is not tracking or doing anything else that would be a reason to see if vision therapy could help. He stated that I am short on time and probably do not have a money tree growing in our yard and that it would be a waste of time and money.
Happy that I checked into it, with him and the vision therapist. So glad that it is not needed.
Nutshell, we need to get new lenses for Grace.
Here comes the prayer request. KBW is not approved yet. Our county is 'backed-up'. Please help me to pray that we get approval ASAP, this sure would help, a lot.
We need to begin private OT and PT, get her ortho procedure done, lenses, and filial therapy, too.
Hope everyone is doing great! Thank you for keeping up with us and your prayers they are greatly appreciated!

Ready for Bed
I just wanted to thank my friend, LL, for your kind and supportive words, you know!!
It has been a hopping week, and now Gabby Jaye has a fever of 102, again. Poor thing, if it is still present tomorrow off to pediatrician we go. I am so hoping that she does not have strep again! If she does she will be put in the highest category, to which she will need to have her tonsils removed.
Please pray for all of my beautiful friends that are fighting a BIG fight, Breast Cancer!!
I dedicate each ball that I hit on the courts to killing those bad cells!!!
God bless!

ugh!!
Well, now I know why some do not like the Ode to Special Mom's poem. For some reason I am really feeling negative thoughts!! HA, you like my pc, words!
It has been a challenging, more than usual, few days! God give me a double dose of strength, and patience. Please pray for Grace too, as this cannot be easy for her too.
Thanks!

Treadmill time...
What an amazing few days!
It has been quite cold in north Georgia, and I have not been able to get out and do any jogging. So I got on the treadmill the other day and of course Gabrielle wanted to do it, too. Gabrielle did five minutes on the treadmill and she wanted me to put music on for her too, just like Mommy! Well, Grace Marie saw this and wanted to do it too! Yes, it is so great how Grace gets encouraged by her baby sister. Grace did five minutes and at a faster speed than Gabrielle, too!! They have been on the treadmill almost every day. This morning was incredible being that Grace did the five minutes without her AFO and staying on her heels!! So awesome, she was really focusing on keeping that heel down and stretching her heel cord!!
So excited, just wanted to share!! I will try to take a pic, of them on the treadmill soon.
